Since the plants’ roots grow solely in a water-based nutrient solution, it’s very important to have enough dissolved oxygen in the water for healthy plant growth. Just a small strip of Aero-Tube® hose in the tank attached to an air source can provide the aeration necessary to oxygenate the water and ensure efficient circulation of the nutrient solution for absorption by the plants’ roots.
